South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) gives you rights over your personal information. This page explains, in plain language, what we do with your information on this website and how we respect those rights.
On this website (makhe.co.za) we collect only what you actively give us:
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party advertising or tracking technology on this website at launch.
We collect the information above so we can (a) email you when the Makhe app launches, if you joined our early access list, or (b) reply to the message you sent us. That’s it.
Only authorised Makhe staff see your submission. We do not sell it. We do not share it with third parties for marketing. Our form handler sends the data directly to our team email at info@makhe.co.za and the relevant support inbox.
Submissions are stored on our South African hosting provider’s servers (Afrihost) and in our email. They are transmitted over HTTPS.
You have the right to:
To exercise any of these, email info@makhe.co.za with the subject line “POPIA request”. We will respond within 30 days.
Our designated Information Officer for POPIA purposes can be reached at info@makhe.co.za.
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
When we update this notice we’ll change the date at the top. Anything material will be announced on our home page first.
